Time it takes to reach orgasm

I seem to notice that my orgasms are coming a little bit slower than they have in the past. Maybe I'm in a rut, I don't know. I'm turing 36 this year so I'm not getting any younger, and I always seemed to be much slower to reach orgasm than most people I've read about. I use a Hitachi Magic Wand, and from a cold start (no reading of erotica first), I'd say it takes me about 10-12 minutes on average to orgasm (longer if I'm distracted mentally). And I seem to be getting slower. I noticed this (LOL, this will sound ridiculous) when I found that I couldn't finish before the beginning of Jay Leno's monolgue if I started masturbating at the commercial break just prior to the sports segment on the 11:00 news. Ok, for the record, I'm not a sports fan and noticing all of this really tells me I need to find a man LOL!

Seriously though, why does it take me so long (and getting longer)? I've heard that some women can have an orgasm from the Magic Wand in like a minute or two. For the life of me, I don't know how that's possible. I seem to be going in the other direction. I can't have an orgasm from anything but my vibe, but Lord knows I've tried. I think you should really try to use your fingers and give the magik wand a rest!

If you are worried about your orgasms taking longer, that could be the reason they are taking more time! Stress (especially sex related) has an effect on every inche of your bodies... the clit is not excluded from that

Well I would say try putting a positive spin on thigns and look at it from the point of view that your enjoying yourself longer. All I can speak from is experince with my wife and past lovers and I have never noticed a time frame associated with age. Well, it doesn't have any correlation for me. I've had sex and came within 5 minutes... and I've never managed to get myself off that fast by myself! It's usually more like 10-15, or upwards of 20, up to an hour if I'm distracted.

I agree with Igor, you need to focus your thoughts more on the feeling. You should try and devote some time and attention to it, get some porn/erotic stories/whatever gets your horny, concentrate on the rest of your body and only when you're truly going to burst with horniness should you start masturbating. I rarely masturbate for the sole purpose of climaxing so I can't actually answer this question. I don't watch Jay Leno though. Is it exciting so that it sets all your sparkly points a-twitter? But, to get to the point I can orgasm inside of a minute if I especially want sex and am excited thinking of it or up to 20 minutes if I'm being lazy and being interrupted.
