Hey All- I know that women's vaginas all look different. I have been trying to figure something about myself and i was wondering if someone may have the answer. I noticed this week that my pussy looks different then it did the week before. I want to say that the Labia has been widing? I dont know. My hole used to be smaller and i could hardly my Labia. Now I noticed the hole is bigger and I can see my labia much better. It isn't like it is coming out like some women have but I just found it weird that in one week (with no change to my sex life) that it got bigger?? Does anyone know what I am talking about and if so, is this normal? It hasn't hurt at all. Just has itched a little bit which I am thinking is due to the change that I am not used to. Ofcourse if I find that I have concerns I will go in to the doctor but I am thinking this isn't anything to be concerned about. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!  |

If you itch, it might be swelling from a vaginal infection that's causing the change in appearance too. If you've been having sex or masturbating a lot you could be a little chafed as well. Also, if you were sexually excited when you looked at yourself the second time, your genitals will appear different. I've never heard of a vagina just "morphing" though. |

Well...thanks for some food for thought. I am not too worried about my situation more curious than anything. I don't think its an infection because the itching really didn't last at all. It doesn't look, feel or show any sign of being considered infected but you never know. I think seeing the doctor would be the only way to confirm 100% that it is not. Although I have looked at my vagina several times this week it is possible that I have been excited. I wouldn't think that every time I did, I was... but you never know I guess.... I still am confused if you call the part I am talking about the labia? I don't know. I thought I paid attention in health class... |

Well, I know what labia are, but I'm not sure it's the part you're referring to. Where is it located and what does it look like? BEG, a woman's genitals engourge with blood when we're excited the same way a man's penis does. Everything swells a little (or a lot), the vaginal opening gets wider and the inner lips part. Your vagina will look different, sometimes a lot, when you're excited versus when you're not. |

I never knew that, but I don`t look at myself down there much to know when it would look diffrently, from one time to another. |

Sounds to me like its normal. Depending on the tention in the muscles, you postion, level of arousal or just for no reason at all the vagina can widen or tighten etc etc. Its normal, i mean, obviously in a matter of minutes or seconds it can widen for a penis or it can even open up wide enough for a baby!

I am only familiar with one vagina and it doesn't belong to me, but I can tell you this, my wife's vagina changes all the time. Some times her outer lips are nearly entirely invisible, she looks puffy. I love this look especially through her bathing suit or panties. Some times she is real lippy and seems to have surplus outer lips. She can also appear already opened up, like after we have intercourse. I always suspect her of having already been playing with herself, but denies it, though I think she masturbates often. I have caught her in movies and under her blanket on the couch. I wouldn't worry about a changing vulva.
