First time sex toy buyer

I have had a toy before that was bought for me by an ex boyfriend, and we had a ton of fun with it. I don't really masturbate, except for in front of my current boyfriend. But I don't ever feel the need to do it on my own that often. My boyfriend has been talking about using one during sex, which completly turns me on, and I would love one to use for just me as well. I'm totally shy about walking into a sex store, but I really want to suprise my boyfriend (and I want it for myself too...) so I'm going to be bold and go buy one.

I know I want it to vibrate, but other than that I'm pretty open. The one I used before was kind of rubbery, it was supposed to vibe but it never worked lol. But I did really enjoy using it. I am not sure how much I am going to be paying, I actually have zero idea what dildos and sex toys cost. I know everyone has their own preferences, I would love recommendations? Maybe suggestions for toys that are good bang for their buck (haha...I HAD to write that). Any brands/types to avoid? Thanks!

Keep,

It's true, you do have a lot of options. I've written some information over at Sex Toys411.com that should be helpful to you.

You know, if you're really shy about walking into a sex shop, there are alot of great online sex shops that will deliver to your house. The one I use also has sales every week, and things on clearance. And you can look as much as you want, and really take your time, sense no one is watching you look at them!

I actually just bought my first toy today. My boyfriend and I went to a sex shop together. I was so nervous about what to expect, but i think you'll come to realize how open, welcoming and comforting some sex shops are. I received all the help I wanted from a (female) employee which made things relaxed and comfortable. I'm not an expert on sex toys, but the woman who helped me said a great toy for beginners, masturbators and mutual play was the Hustler vibrator. It's small, but it packs a lot of punch. I haven't stopped using it. Not that I have any comparison, it's just what she said. Best of luck!

If you know you want it to vibrate that is half the battle. The other is whether you would like to look and feel realistic and then of course the size of the toy you would like to play with. If you are not sure about the size start with something bigger than your BF for variaty and then go larger if you both feel the need. Happy shopping.
