To add the the Wand thread: I bought a wand myself a couple weeks ago. They are on sale several places, it looks like, and this came packaged with two attachments, one like the G-spotter and one that is straight - not bent. I did find out though that there is a difference in the bent one and the "real" G-spotter attachment. They are curved about the same and look to be about the same size but the real one has an area that is supposedly better for clitoral stimulation, while in use, as well as better G-spot stimulation.
So far we have only used the want itself as a massager, and have not used the attachments.

I agree!

I agree with you, Mark. If I were to buy one for Amy, I'll admit that my motivations would be almost entirely selfish. I think I could just sit and watch my woman sitting on that thing for hours--especially if it does for her what it did for marybleu!

...Also, thank you, Larry, for informing us about the vibrating Buddy cushion. Sounds like that might make the dreams of men like Mark and me affordable.

Igor,

I hope I understand what you're asking this time around. If you set the Wand's switch on high, the VAR control on its fastest speed will equal the Wand's highest speed.

It's weird though, I was telling Larry this the other day, I feel like the VAR on high is stronger than the Wand's high, but that's not possible because the Wand's motor can only be so strong. So once it's on high and the VAR is on high, there's only 1 highest vibration.

I hope that clarifies. Let me know if it doesn't and I'll give it another shot.

Ann

Thanks Ann. I did not expect that. I was thinking that it would be a bit slower than when on "FULL". With the units I have experimented with (My attempt at a home-made one), "Wide open" on the variable control does not provide the full voltage to the unit. I thought that unit would act the same way. Then, in a way, there is really no need for that switch.

On another forum, I was informed that Harbor Freight Tools is selling a "Router Speed Control". Turns out this is identical to the Magic Wand speed control. I picked one up (The website ad says $14.99 but mine was $20.00). Anyway, if you are near one of those stores it is another option. And yes, the voltage is almost the same in either switch position if the speed knob is all the way up.

Ann I know what you mean about the speed seeming to be higher when it is actually maybe a bit slower. I think it has to do with mechanical resonances. Some of the really slow speeds seem to really "pound".

Igor,

So all you need to complete the toy is the My Buddy Cushion. To me, the cushion does make a difference. It's better than just a pillow because the Wand is secured in the cushion. When I've used a pillow, the Wand moves around and the pillow gets smushed and screwed up.
