Any decision about your relationship the two of you can live with happily, without remorse or regrets, is a good decision. I applaud you for your honesty, your thoughtfulness, and your ability to put things into perspective before you go off half cocked.
Don't worry about thinking about this for so long, or discussing it so thoroughly, only to come to this decision. You're supposed to do those things in order to make that decision - no matter what that decision is. I think you two did all the right things. Nobody's disappointed - most importantly the two of you, right? No, you did everything right, in my opinion.
