I've decided to get my hands on some of the more expensive, luxury vibrators that are coming out. It's not a big deal to spend $20 or $30 on a vibe that could possibly suck, but when you're shelling $50-$100 or even more, you want to know what it's all about. So that's my new task, giving you the nitty gritty on the luxury vibes. The Onye got delivered this morning. Larry and I just finished checking it out. So far I'm really impressed! This vibrator is silent! Just wanted to post my initial thoughts here because so far, I'm damn excited to use this thing. Will post more later. Ann

| It's really that quiet? I'll have to look into that... I love the vibe I have right now because it's small (which is great because I need it to cum during sex lol) and it can go in a cock ring...but what I don't like about it is that it's super loud, even on it's lowest setting. So I've been looking for something a little more subtle... about what size is this one Ann?

Yep, it's really that quiet, although when you're the one holding it doesn't sound totally silent because it's vibrating in your hand and through your body. So while I thought it was much quieter than other vibes I have, I made Larry hold it and I couldn't hear it at all. It's pretty amazing. I measured it for you, the size is approx. 4 3/4" long. It seems to be as wide around as a U.S. Quarter. Hope that helps. Ann

So I got to really try this one out last night. I put some brand new batteries in it and it was little louder than my initial experience. However, it was still pretty quiet. So I want to correct my initial statement. With new, full powered batteries, this vibe is not totally silent, but it is extremely quiet. It's powerful on the high setting, constant vibe setting. It brought me to orgasm my 3rd and 4th time around last night and normally that's pretty hard to do. I didn't have too much trouble switching through all the settings. It has one button that gets you to all the settings. I mostly use the regular vibrations, but did fool around with the pulsing and when I was ready to go back to constant vibing, I held the button down for 2 seconds, it shut off, then I turned it back on, clicked it twice and I was back where I needed to be. It's water resistant, not water proof, so while you can't submerge it under water, you can penetrate yourself with smooth side and I did. It's a little thick so after all the play and prior penetration and orgasms I had, I didn't desire thick penetration so it was good. I liked this one. I'm keeping it by my bed and am sure I will use it often. Cleaning it was pretty easy too, took a baby wipe to wipe it down and done! Oh and it's also very discreet. I took it to a bar with me on Saturday night to show KinkyFriend (her username here) and no one had any idea what I was doing, I guess until I started buzzing her with it. ![]() Ann

So I've had some time to play with the Onye. While it has become my preferred vibe to use, always available in its case on my night stand and oh so pretty, I have noticed that the vibe is getting louder as I use it on it's highest vibration intensity setting. Not the quiet ole vibe I was playing with when I first got it a couple of months back. I've had at least a dozen play sessions with it and I really enjoy the pleasure it gives me. Plus it's so pretty. I can't stop saying that. The high setting gets me off and it's easy to hold between Larry and I when we're having intercourse in missionary. My main beef is that it sounds as if the batteries are rattling inside on the high setting and there seems to be a tight fit for them. So I'm not sure what the rattling is about and why it's happening. I was so excited about this pretty, discreet and quiet vibe when I first got it and now I'm feeling kind of disappointed. I was hoping I found a really quiet vibe for you ladies. I checked the manufacturer's website and they don't specifically say it's a quiet or silent vibe. So if they're not marketing it that way, I can't bust them too much for it. They haven't promised silence, they've promised beauty, sensuality, compact size, discreet for travel, 8 modes of vibration, 3 speeds, 5 pulsation patterns, splash proof, silicone non-slip grip and satin lined case included. So far, all those things are true in my experience. I'm going to work with it some more and see if I can figure out what the deal is. Will report back and write out my final review shortly. Ann

I wanted to follow up with my discussion/review of this vibrator. I wound up contacting the company to let them know what was going on. They seemed to be surprised by my experience and told me to send the vibe back to them so they could check it out and they'd send me another one. I did this at the end of July and still have not received a replacement. Who knows, my experience could have been with a faulty product and that's not how it normally operates, I hope so because I did enjoy it before it started to rattle. Anway, I wanted to keep you posted. Ann

| I know I'm amazingly late in answering your question and that's because until recently, I didn't really have an answer for you. The important thing I've learned about a g-spot vibrator is that it's not just about vibrating the g-spot. It's got to have some substance to it so the g-spot can also be tapped and stimulated with pressure. My absolute favorite is when Larry does it with his fingers, he's got some great technique and I've yet to find a toy that can replace that, until now. There's a new vibe out called Gigi by LELO. It's changed my view on g-spot vibrators. The penetrative end has a flat surface to it, giving the user more surface area to tap and vibrate her g-spot with. Many g-spot vibes offer only a small tip and I've learned over the years that's not enough, at least for me. The Gigi also has some other great features. It gives you the constant vibration in which you can set the intensity, plus different sensations of pulse and escalate. However, they've cleverly designed the vibe so you have to press another button to activate those features. I'm a fan of the classic constant vibrations and in the past I've used vibrators in which I've stumbled across that pulsing accidentally in trying to get to the highest vibration, when I was getting close to orgasm. It killed it for me. Lelo has designed this vibe so that doesn't happen. And for that alone, I think it's an awesome vibrator. You definitely need to read the instructions and become familiar with how to operate it. It's not one of those take it out of the package and go for it kind of vibes. Once you understand how it works, it's a piece of cake. I'll be posting my review of this soon. I've fallen behind a bit, but I'm in the process of playing catch up. I'll let you know when the full review is posted. In the meantime, you can check out Gigi at our sponsors, IntimateSource.com http://store.intimatesource.com/deta.../toys/Gigi.htm Ann

Ann, Can you tell me how the strength of this one compares to the LELO Nea? I know you've reviewed that one and gave it a great review. Being a Magic Wand sort of girl myself, I want something small, quiet(er) and powerful enough to take me there. Any thoughts between the two? Have you tried the LELO Mia yet? Thanks! |
