What intrigues you about your own gender?

Here's another question. I imagine I started thinking about this after my friend who fairly recently his prostate gland removed said he was newly fascinated by xtube videos of the cum shot, because he himself is no longer able to ejaculate. For instance, do you stare at some physical attribute or do their mannerisms hold some interest for you? I know these examples may seem fairly non-sexual, but, considering Kinsey's belief, there may be more at work here. I'm not trying to label anyone "half-gay" or a "closet homosexual," either; I'm merely curious, and I figured the majority of the members of this website would be most open to answering such a question honestly--perhaps more so than the majority of the members of most other websites.

Well, I am not sure I entirely understand your question. But I'll say this. While I consider myself super-hetro, I do appreciate a good looking penis or a good ejaculation. So then I have to ask myself if I am so totally hetro thinking (watching 2 guys do each other is a turn-off) then why am I fascinated by the thought of playing with a transexual? I'm female and on the straighter end of the sexuality spectrum, but even so, I find members of my own sex more attractive, generally speaking in any case.

Women are just better looking than men! I'm not sure why. They're just softer or something. And so touchable. I find myself more likely to fantasize about touching a woman that I may have seen (caressing breasts and curvy bums...) than a man.

I'm really fussy when it comes to judging guys looks: my friends will point out a "hot" man and I'll be like "hmm, he's ok". Its shallow of me I know, but for me to consider a man truly hot, he has to look like an underwear model. Yet I find hot women all over the place...

Not that this should discourage you guys! I'm talking first glance only here. Men grow on me the more I talk to them. "Ok" looking guys may become "hot" if I like how they talk, what their mannerisms are etc. Conversely, I usually find girls less attractive the more I get to know them. Its like their beauty is only skin deep somehow. (Again, just speaking in general, from my own experience).

Perhaps this is why I fantasize a lot about sex with a woman, but probably wouldn't have a relationship with one...

Isn't that crazy? I'm fascinated by hermaphrodites myself, those with both male and female parts. I think hermaphrodites are incorrectly referred to as transsexuals; transsexuals are those who've "transitioned", or who have been operated on to become the sex opposite that of which they were born. (A transsexual friend I once had shared such knowledge with me.)

I've come across some pictures of hermaphrodites every now and then online and most of those pictures were very attractive. They appeared very much like gorgeous women, except they happened to also have a mostly functioning penis. Amazing. If I had both parts, I might never get out of the house.

I'm a fairly straight man myself, so of course I agree with you. Women are, in general, more pleasing to look at. I also agree with you, regarding both men and women, that the more you get to know a person, the more attractive they can become in your mind's eye. But your comment also brings to my mind a complaint I've made on occasion about how women have so many more clothing choices than men. I mean, it seems like if you are a gay male--or if you're a flamboyant celebrity--then maybe you open up your range of choices to include a wide variety of colors and styles. But the majority of clothing designed for straight males is clearly less exciting than most clothing designed for women. I look around me all the time and think, Wow, there's another sexy-looking woman. Then, after giving it a little more thought, I think, Actually, clothing designers are getting better and better at making flattering outfits. I'm not by any means saying that these women are ugly; rather, what they are wearing helps a lot to emphasize what men like to see. The best most men have to compete with that are shirts made to hug their muscles...but they're still just plain ol' shirts. Does more masculine have to mean less imaginative?
