My wife and I have been considering home nudism for a while. I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this? Are there questions we need to ask ourselves before engaging in this lifestyle? If anyone has any experience with this and has some pointers or has some things that we should know, it would be helpful.

I went through a era of "trailer" nudity.
I was going to school and living in a 24' Travel Trailer RV, the RV was originally from a Northern State and it's AC couldn't stand up to South Carolina summers. So for a few months, I started pulling the drapes after school. It was very freedom-inspiring. My advice... Thick drapes and a good heater in the winter. Also, from what I have heard, some have ended up having to put signs up... one outside warning viewers and one inside reminding you to put clothes on .

When my wife and I first starting dating we were practicing home nudist when ever possible. Our cloths would come off as soon as she got to my house and most of the time unless we were going out of course did not go back on until Monday when we would leave for work. It was not a 100% of the time thing but around 99% lets say. The few things you need to be concerned with obviously are can your neighbors see you, our definitely could not then or now, do you have kids at home, not that there is anything wrong with your children being involved because true nudist will tell you it has nothing to do with sex, it's more about the freedom of not wearing or being restricted by clothing. One thing a lot of people tend to over look is be careful of mother nature not only the obvious things like sunburn but rememeber splinters come form wooden benches..........ouch! .....lol

There are a lot of advantages and disadvantges to beng a nudist it's aa personal choice which you yourself have to try.

First of all,always sit on a towel.My h/b grew up as a nudist/naturist and I quickly took to it.His daughter and our son were also raised as nudists.The only difference between nudists and textile people as we call them is nudists enjoy the freedom without clothes.It's very sensual[not sexual] way to live.We never let them be exposed to watching us have sex.They learned about sex,the human body,etc from an early age.Our daughter had sex at twenty one.She once came to me and told me[when she was single and younger],she got too involved with this boy and he wanted sex[being frustrated],so she gave him a handjob and he masturbated her.She told me she did not love him and couldn't have sex [intercourse] with him.I was very proud...Although I am very kinki[I can prove that],when we practice or go to a nudist resort we act accordingly to the rules and love to see families.espically love nude beaches...As for at home don't stand in front of the windows or answer the door naked.If you get cold put on some clothes or turn the heat up[just common sense].Enjoy your nudity together[cooking,cleaning,bathing,watching tv.playing ping pong,etc] and enjoy the natural things like getting erect nipples,him getting an erection.You can also take advantage of the situation when it arises and don't have to waste time taking off your clothes.We love to do yoga,listen to music and give massages and of course sex trantra.Enjoy It!!

I love personal nudism in the home. There is something so natural and soothing to not having any barriers between your skin and the open air. Always close the windows, though. I also try to make sure my male roomies can't see me (or aren't home) since I don't particularly feel like giving them a cheap thrill.

It's freeing, exhilarating, and gets one in tune with oneself. Why not?

I shared your post with my wife and she totally agreed that we both loved being nude together and reminded me of a funny story. We live on a very large piece of land and have a big old bar out behind the main house. Well one quite Sunday we decided to go for a walk around the property and catch some rays. So off we went, then my wife suggest we go ah natural so we both smiled and kinda gigled like a couple of dopey kids and off came our cloths and armed only with a blanket we went out back by the lake and enjoyed the sunny day and each other (several times I might add....
Well we decided to head back and just as we were about to round the corner of the bar we heard a car door slam and we both had a simultaneous look of panic on our faces.As I peered around the corner we could see it was her crazy aunt. A nice enough woman but she is the quintessential relative who comes for a visit and never leaves. So we were both trying to suppress our laughter so as not to be heard. We made our way into the barn dogs barking of course and climbed up into the loft where we could see the house and the driveway. we figured ok we hang out here and she'll leave in a few minutes Yeah more like TWO HOURS LATER!!!!!!!!!!! I desperately tied to have sex with my wife again but she was a little bit distracted to say the least. When we finally go down and went back to the house there was one of our digs with her bra in his mouth running around the yard, we laughed and wonder if the he was running around with it in his mouth while she was waiting all afternoon.........lol Funny now when we look back at it but not at the very funny at that moment. So the moral of the story is if you want to be a home nudist be sure never to allow yourself to get caught in a compromising situation.

Well, we all had the day off yesterday because of the hurricane in Texas (we are in SE Louisiana), so we made it our first day of home nudism. The previous night we had the final talk with our kids about it all, making sure they were ok with this. Our son is 8 and he thought it would be cool. Our daughter is 12 and she was looking forward to it, but didn't want any of her friends to find out. We gave the full speed ahead for the noxt morning.

So, we woke up yesterday morning free of clothes. It's hard to put into words the feeling, on the one hand it was an exhilirating feeling for all of us to be naked doing our usual things, but on the other hand it felt like any other day. It seemed like our daughter was a little uncomfortable at first, but she said she just didn't wanna seem rude and be looking at too much. We told her it was ok to look but that we appreciated her desire for politeness and etiquitte. I think that is a good sign of maturity to have those concerns. They both had questions, we answered them and went about our business.

At dinner we all took turns talking about the experience and whether we wanted to be liek this full time at home and it was a unanimous yes. In the future, we will definately be exploring what oppurtunities there are for nude recreation, whether it be at resorts or beaches or just with other local home nudists.

As far as how this affects my wife and i's sexual nature, we've kinda sperated the experience into 2 aspects. I was worried that the sexual aspects of nudity would be too much for us to handle with the kids, but to my surprise what most nudists say is a seperation of sexuality and nudity turned out to be true. The kids had more questions, but they have questions everyday anyway, this time they just had visual references to ask about. Other than that, things in the family and everyday life was as normal as can be.

However, just between my wife and i after the kids are asleep or elsewhere, it is very sexual for us. Basically being naked together all day built up sexual tension, and we spent the entire day flirting back and forth when the kids weren't around. Last night after all were in bed and the doors were locked, we had the most intense sex we've ever had at home between us. It was passionate and extremely messy, which is a good sign i think.

The bottom line is a good first day for all with more to come hopefully. Thanks to everyone for their advice and please keep it comeing if you have anythign to add.

You mention the talk you had with the kids and the questions they had before, during and after. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of questions were asked?

I've thought about bringing this lifestyle up, but didn't know possible reactions. I know every family is different, but if I had an idea what questions had been brought up, I'd have an idea on how to better be prepared.

Our daughter used to ask many questions[being full time nudists].The first one I remember was when she asked why our son would wake up and have an erection[was easily explained].The second was she said: you mean they stick that penis up our vagina",was time to explain the ABC's...Her asking if she could shave her pubics[like mine],it was hard to explain but she waited until she was 18,now keeps a little strip which her H/B loves...We taught them the beauty and how to respect the human body along with explaining about sex.[bc,safety,no means no,waiting until marriage[didn't work],etc.]..Our son didn't ask many questions.Was a bit shy when pubs started to grow and would quickly run to bathroom in the morning..They both come with their mates and sun and swim nude..Our daughter when staying at her inlaws would come out of the bedroom in the morning naked,not thinking.They soon accepted it and joined us for some summer bbq's and are now nudists.We never stop getting compliments on our son for being a gentleman from the ladies[only too many ladies is the problem]..Our son also helps in a nudist youth camp with his most steadist lady[who is a nudist]...Though they do raise their eyebrows to our new lifestyle[live-in poly].Our son jokes about that his father is only here for the pay check.Our daughter is now pregnant and is proud to show her growing belly and breasts....Being natural is a great way to bring up children.Of course education is the key.

Well, reading this thread has been very enlightening. It appears that I'm a practicing home nudist, although to be honest I've never thought about it that way. In fact, I hadn't thought about it at all.

I work swing shift (4pm until Midnight) and when I get home from work at about 1am, I get out of my work clothes almost immediately, then just never get dressed again. I get up at about Noon, and don't bother dressing until I shower and dress for work. On weekends, I get out of bed and don't bother dressing until I need to go outside, or someone knocks on the door - which is rare. That has led to a scramble for the bedroom once or twice, but other than that, my nudity has never been an issue. If we don't go anywhere that day, it's common for me to spend the whole day nude, from the time I wake up in the morning, until I go to bed that night. Thinking about it now, I'm naked most of the time I'm home. Heck, I'm naked right now, for that matter.

We don't have kids living with us, as they're all grown and out on their own, so it's just Lin, myself, and the dog. Lin will usually dress after getting out of bed, but not always, and never immediately. Her reason for dressing is usually that she feels cold, so, after an hour or so, she'll throw on a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. She never comments on my nudity, unless she wants to go somewhere, or go outside to do some yard work, then she'll ask me to get dressed and go outside with her. Oh sure she'll give me a quick grope here and there if I walk past her, but I do the same thing if she walks past me. We love to touch each other, and do so quite often. Naked hugs in the middle of the living room, passing each other in the hallway, or even in front of the fridge are normal around here.

We have neighbors relatively close, and our yard is fenced with chain link fence, so daytime outdoor nudity isn't an option for us. We did, however, spend a very nice night out in the back yard watching a meteor shower (the Leonid, I think) in the nude, but that was a one-time thing. I don't even remember how we came to be naked out there, only that we were. Our windows have a tinting film on them to reflect the sun's rays during the day, so nobody can see into the house at all during the daytime. Our drapes and curtains prevent anyone from seeing in at night.

We had a huge swinger's campout in July at a local lake (60 couples!,) and after sunset, we spent the vast majority of our time nude, but so did almost everyone else.

We're both comfortable with our bodies, and have no problem being nude in our home - as long as the heater is running in the winter time. I just had no idea it was considered a lifestyle. As I said, I didn't think about it at all.
