Birth Control..

Ive been dating my boyfriend for a few years. We have always had unprotected sex, so I decided to get on birth control 4 months ago. Now he keeps telling me that he wants to finish inside of me, I'm so terrified that I'll get pregnant. I know the birth control isnt 100% effective. But Im just concerned should I let him finish inside of me? How long does it take before the birth control is effective?

The number one rule of sex for me: If you are not sure, do not do it.

If you dont want him to finish inside of you, then dont let him. He should be willing to respect your decision, whatever it is. If not, then is he really someone that you want to be having sex with?

As for your questions regarding birth control, each type takes different amounts of time to become effective. Since you have not mentioned which kind you are on (the pill, depo provera, etc.) I dont think that anyone here can give you any of their knowledge beyond this - ASK YOUR DOCTOR!!!

Well just to start i agree with hope i mean truly its all up to u. We have all heard about the stories of people getting pregnant while on birth control, even when they take it every day. I am one of them, but i had lost the baby at 3 months, my bf wasnt finishing inside of me, but there is always a bit of sperm that enters you, but its not safe to say that if you havent gotten pregnant yet that your not at risk. I had changed birth controles but it was always at the back of my mind. I decided a few months ago that i was going to get an intrauterine device. And still take my birth control pills. My bf has since then has finished inside of me a few times and iv loved it. but truly without this IUD i would have never ever considered it. Really, iv loved this iud, yes its a litle unconfortable when they put it in but its a load off of my mind. If you need more info just let me know.
