Concerning violence...

Last night Gooch and I went out to a restaurant to celebrate my promotion at work. I got it last week, and Gooch made reservations at one of my favorite places for yesterday. When we got there, we found that there was a bachelor party going on, and the guys were already pretty tanked. We were inside waiting for them to confirm our reservation when I caught the eye of one of the partiers. Gooch was up at the counter, and I was about ten feet away in the back of the room whe this guy walked up and asked if I was the "entertainment". I said hell no, and he reached around and grabbed my ass. No sooner had he done that when Gooch spun him around and flattened him with a punch to the jaw. A big fight then ensued between him and two of the other partiers. When all was said and done, we were kicked out of the restaurant. After giving our statements to the police, and after learning that the guy he decked wasn't pressing charges, we just went back to my place. He was PISSED. But once we got home, we somehow ended up having the most amazing sex ever! I can't figure out why I was so turned on by this. I hate violence, and I didn't like to see my boyfriend behave like that, but deep down, I was aroused by it. He seemed to be extra "enthusiastic" during the sex, too. Do you think this means I have some kind of violence or domination fetish? What about him?

I think what he did was the honorable thing defending his girl friends honor. What you need to do is go file assault charges on the Jerk off who grabbed your ass, hopefully a little bit of counter measures will persuade them to drop the charges, well lets hope anyway.
I'm not a psychologist or anything remotely close but I would say it just triggered your primal urges or feeling if you will. I feel it's safe to say as I have mentioned in another post that deep down inside our primal instincts as men and women are a man looks at a woman and says can she bare me children and a woman looks at a man and says can he provide for me and protect me. Not saying that this is ingrained in our DNA but it's been the basis of life for thousands of years. You saw your man protect you and defend you and it triggered something primal in you. The how's whys and what ever's are something for the shrinks to tell you but who knows it may have unlocked something that you were never aware of.

Maybe you're right. I don't want to see him get into any more fights, but maybe I was just turned on by the confirmation that he would kick someone's ass for me. I only brought this up because this isn't the first time two guys have gone at it on my account. My boyfriend in high school did the same thing, (under different circumstances) and I just thought he was being immature and petty. This was different. Me being the deep thinker that I am, I thought that I witnessed the "other" Gooch, the one I knew existed, but had never seen. I guess now that I've seen that side of him, I have a better understanding of him as a whole. He's kind of like Clark Kent. Mild-mannered by day, Perv-fighter by night!

You know it take a lot bigger man to walk away from a fight then it does to get into one BUT and there is always a but. There are those times when the only way to get through to an asshole is throw down with him and trade punches. Just sounds to me like he did the right thing and you have a new found appreciation for him.

They kicked us ALL out. Them for being verbally and physically abusive and us (me) for throwing the first punch. Looking back, I probably should have dragged him into the parking lot before stomping his ass.

I think the sex was especially great because after I cooled off and we got back to her place, I got to thinking. We were lounging on her bed, inhaling the pizza we ended up ordering, and watching a movie when it suddenly occured to me.

- I did right by my girl in a bad situation.

- I totally wrecked the guy who insulted, and (under state law) assaulted her.

- I held my own against 2-1 odds versus a couple of guys who were too drunk to feel pain.

- I didn't get arrested for it.

When I thought about it that way, I started to feel pretty damn good about myself. Couple that with the surge in testosterone that they say comes after a guy asserts himself like that, and you have a recipe for some real fireworks.
