Hello / Hola I accidentally posted this on the wrong page, I think it does better here. So two nights ago I tried Astroglide lube for the first time. (This is masturbation, not with a partner.) I had heard nothing but good things about this lube, but it was the worst one I have ever used (store bought lube that is, don't make me tell you the story about the eggwhites.) It did not add any sensation or improve pleasure. At first it reduced friction, but then it started to get almost dry-like. ick. I am very unfamiliar with this product, but it seemed so highly recommended. Even Tucker Max has stories about using it, and he said it was the top choice of lubes among his gay waiter friends. AND NO I am not using that as a reliable source for the record. Does anyone have any advice with using Astroglide or other Astroglide products? |

I don't know if 6 or 7 minutes is normal or not. I only used it for actual intercourse and if I were able to last that long, the lube was still working fine. (Due to medical conditions, my mate does not get wet on her own so all lube comes from a tube/bottle. We recently switched back to the old fashioned K-Y jelly in the squeeze tube because she didn't like the thinner/runny quality of the A-G).

Astro glide is a water based based lube depending how humid or dry the room conditions are will depend on how fast a water based lube gets "sticky". For Masturbation you will have much better results with a silicone based lube such as ID millenium , Pjur Check out Guide to lubricants for a full overview |

Larry: That sounds like it. Maybe dry wasn't the right word. Sticky is more like it. Thank you. I have yet to try a silicone base lube because I've had good success with oil-based ones. That's what I'm using now. ![]() Igor: I guess I'll save my Astroglide for partners |

A good tip for anyone using a water-based lube: Any water based lubricant will start to get sticky or tacky at some point. Keep a spray bottle of water or glass of water handy. When the lube gets sticky/tacky, just spray a bit of water on the area. That should make the lube slippery again. The key is not to add more lube, add water. Enjoy! Ann
