Anal stimulation can be done alone during masturbation or with a partner, however, a good start with any kind of anal stimulation is to do it alone. If you've never done it before, you need to experiment and find out what you like. Maybe you just like to rub the anus with a lubed finger. Maybe you'll enjoy holding a vibe up to your anus. @Ann I tried the fingering, and it was okay but not great. Some parts of it felt really good, but not good enough to make me cum. So I'm going to get a small A*vibrator to start with. And as I mentioned on another page, I already have plenty of astroglide.

Make sure whatever toy you get for anal penetration has some kind of flared base on the bottom. Between the amount of lube that's essential for pleasurable anal penetration and the fact that toys can easily get sucked into the rectum, a flared base is the safest way to go.
